Prepare your identification
Adult-use purchasing is for people 21 and older. OCM accepts valid passports issued by the United States or another country, qualifying government photo identification and other listed IDs. Check the official list if your document is unusual or its validity is unclear.

Check the store before the detour
Use OCM’s dispensary verification list to match the name and address. At the storefront, look for its official verification tool. BudCities’ borough directories can help narrow the area, but the regulator’s record is the place to confirm licensing.

Plan the setting, not just the purchase
Smoking and vaping are prohibited in NYC parks, beaches, pedestrian plazas and restaurant dining areas, including outdoor dining. A hotel booking should not be treated as permission: ask the property about cannabis and smoking policies before making plans.

Keep the return journey simple
OCM lists adult possession limits of 3 ounces of cannabis and 24 grams of concentrate. These are legal ceilings, not a useful shopping target for a short visit. Do not drive impaired or take cannabis across state or country borders.
