Bring an accepted document
Oregon’s retail rule requires valid, unexpired government photo identification. It expressly includes passports and driver licenses from Oregon or another US state. Check the full official list if you plan to use another kind of document, rather than assuming a photo on your phone will suffice.

Verify the retailer
OLCC links an official licensed-business report from its consumer FAQ. Use the Portland directory to find candidates, then match the actual business and address with official information. Confirm hours directly if they are missing or unverified; a published listing is not live opening confirmation.

Keep purchase and possession separate
The adult-use flower purchase limit is 2 ounces at one time or within one day. Other products have separate sales limits, including 10 grams of extracts or concentrates. Oregon’s public flower possession limit is also 2 ounces, but other possession categories differ from sales categories. Ask which category applies to your basket.

Make a consumption plan
Public use is prohibited. OLCC’s examples of public places include streets, parks, hotel lobbies and spaces used for public transportation. Ask the accommodation operator about your actual room or private space; do not infer permission from being able to buy legally.

Plan the journey home
Driving impaired is illegal, and OLCC warns against taking cannabis across state lines. Choose a sober way to travel after use and do not buy on the assumption that a return trip to another state is permitted. This guide does not provide airport-security or airline clearance.
